NEED HELP WITH DROUGHT RELIEF?

Tax refief and income assistance is available for farmers affected by the drought.  The Ministry of Social Developement through Work and Income, can provide a range of standard financial assistance to both farming and non-farming families whose income have been affected by drought. Inland Revenue also has a range of measures to help, depending on personal circumstances.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) co-ordinates the Governments response to drought.
